This was kindly sent by my double cousin Clare (née Elizabeth Clare Trembath) in South Africa, it having come down her family.
The photograph I scanned looks superb, and it’s not quite this Ribena colour: I have tried all sorts of tricks to cajole it into reproducing better, sans interference pattern, and they haven't been very successful.
I don't know the date of this portrait but I guess it to be late 1880s.
